2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on servers in Germany. When the website is accessed, the web server automatically collects data in so-called server log files: IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, file/URL accessed, referrer URL, browser used and operating system. This data is used exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation, system security and error analysis, and is automatically deleted after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). We have a data processing agreement in place with our hosting provider (Art. 28 GDPR).
3. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
4. Web analytics with Matomo (self-hosted, without cookies)
We use the open-source web analytics software Matomo in a self-hosted version. Matomo runs entirely on our own server; no data is transferred to third parties. The analysis is carried out without cookies, and IP addresses are shortened (anonymised) before being stored, so that no direct personal reference can be established. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in statistically evaluating usage in order to improve our offering (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). You can additionally object to this data collection:

5. Getting in touch
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your information (e.g. name, email address, content of the enquiry) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, insofar as the enquiry is related to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).
