01These five angles we need
Please provide at least one photo per category — you decide the order when uploading. A phone in daylight is perfectly fine.
Left: daylight or a bright hall — the engine shows detail right into the corners.
Right: harsh midday sun from above — the bonnet casts its shadow directly onto the engine, the pavement is blown out. Better to roll into the shade or wait for soft light.
02What we judge photos by
No photo studio required. Just these points need to be right:
- Long edge from 2,000 pixels — original file, no messenger export
- Daylight or a bright hall — dark garage corners swallow the car
- The whole vehicle in frame — don’t crop anything in exterior shots
- No third-party watermarks — your own signature is fine
- Shooting data stays intact — we automatically remove location data
- Number plate leave it on or let us know — we’ll pixelate it properly
03How submission works
Display name of your choice, region is enough for location.
Choose model from the list, upload photos, add details — almost nothing is mandatory. Your collection has room: multiple vehicles are explicitly welcome.
From your details we create a feature text, which we coordinate with you. You’ll see any queries directly on the vehicle.
Your car appears in “From the Garage” and on its model page. You maintain it, in your account.
04What’s in it for you
Your details make the archive better — in return you get more than a spot in the gallery:
Mileage readings with odometer photo become verified data points in your vehicle’s history. When selling later, a documented history is worth real money.
No one needs to be a writer: the feature text is created from your details and notes — you proofread, we only publish once you’ve approved.
Meetups and events, new articles and market reports — tailored to your model instead of a blanket email for everyone.
Every month we highlight one vehicle from the garage in the Friday newsletter — with credit and a link to your feature. The more submissions, the more often: then every Friday gets its car.
Photos and data transfer to the listing with one click — only a few details will then be missing. Plus discounted terms for contributors.
Vehicle data and full history reports from the archive will be available at a discount for contributors once the service launches.
Your photos remain yours. Simple usage rights for s14.de, credit on the photo, withdrawal at any time via the contact form. The VIN is optional and never published — it only feeds the vehicle history: date, mileage, country.
