M30B28 (Alpina) geprüft
The base is the 2.8-litre inline six from the 528i. Alpina fundamentally reworked it: forged Mahle pistons, machined combustion chambers, increased compression — and, instead of the standard injection, its own system from Zenith-Pierburg (DL). Result: 200 PS, from August 1981 in the second stage 218 PS.
